There is something to be said for knowing your market.

At Sky West Real Estate Services, we've spent over 35 years building relationships, understanding properties, following development, and helping business owners, investors, landlords, clients and tenants navigate commercial real estate in Northern Nevada. That local knowledge has always been an important part of how we work, and it isn't changing. What is changing is how far that local expertise can reach.

As of September 2026, Sky West Real Estate Services officially joined SVN International and is now SVN | Sky West Real Estate Services. For our team, the partnership represents an opportunity to take what we've built locally and support it with 2000 advisors in over 200 offices nationwide on our new network which will only increase our resources, relationships, technology, and reach of a nationally recognized commercial real estate organization.

For our clients, that means more resources behind the same local team.

Why SVN?

When we considered what the next stage of growth should look like for Sky West, simply becoming part of a larger commercial real estate organization wasn't enough. The right partnership needed to complement the way we already do business.

SVN's model stood out because it is built around collaboration. Its A “Shared Value Network®”encourages Advisors and offices to actively share opportunities, relationships, market knowledge, and listings rather than keeping them within individual offices. That philosophy makes sense to us and matches with our founder and President Jeffrey Lowden.

Commercial real estate is relationship-driven. A buyer for a Reno industrial property may be based in California, Arizona, Texas, or somewhere else entirely. A Northern Nevada company may be looking for its next facility outside the region. An investor may want opportunities in several markets rather than one. This is the power of our network.

Our local relationships remain valuable. Now they're connected to a much larger network.

Joining SVN doesn't mean replacing the things that made Sky West successful.

Our clients are still working with professionals who know Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, and the surrounding Northern Nevada commercial real estate market. We still believe that local knowledge matters tremendously when evaluating a property.

A national platform can't replace knowing how a particular industrial corridor is developing, which areas are attracting new businesses, what challenges a site may present, or how local construction and development conditions can affect a project.

Instead, SVN gives us the ability to put broader resources behind that knowledge. Think of it less as Sky West becoming something different and more as Sky West gaining a much bigger toolbox.

More Exposure for Commercial Property Listings

One of the most immediate benefits of the SVN partnership is increased exposure for the properties we represent.

When we're marketing a commercial property for sale or lease, the goal isn't simply to put it online and wait for someone to find it. We want to get that property in front of the people who are most likely to recognize its value.

Through SVN, our listings can benefit from a broader network of commercial real estate Advisors, investors, buyers, tenants, and industry relationships across markets. That's particularly valuable in Northern Nevada. Our market has attracted businesses and investors from well outside the region for years. Industrial users relocate here. Companies expand into Nevada. Investors look for opportunities in Reno and Sparks from across state lines.

Being connected to a national commercial real estate network gives us additional avenues to reach those people while continuing the local marketing and direct outreach we've always done.

A Bigger Network for Buyers and Investors, Too

The advantage works in both directions.

If you're selling a property, we want more qualified eyes on it. If you're buying, we want more opportunities available to you. Through SVN's collaborative network, our team can connect with Advisors in other markets, share requirements, identify opportunities, and tap into relationships that extend far beyond our own database.

For an investor building a portfolio across multiple states, that can be particularly useful. Instead of starting from scratch every time you enter a new market, we can leverage relationships within the SVN network to help connect you with professionals who understand that area. For a Northern Nevada business planning an expansion elsewhere, the same principle applies.

You still have your relationship with Sky West. We simply have more people we can call.

More Specialized Knowledge When a Deal Requires It

Commercial real estate covers an enormous range of property types. Industrial, office, retail, land, multifamily, medical, hospitality, investment properties, and development opportunities can each require very different expertise. No broker should pretend to know everything about every market and every asset class.

One of the benefits we see in SVN is access to a larger community of commercial real estate professionals with specialized experience. When a transaction requires knowledge beyond our immediate market or specialty, we have a network we can draw from rather than trying to solve every problem in isolation.

That can mean additional market intelligence, connections with Advisors specializing in a particular property type, or insight from professionals who are actively working in another geographic market.

Our clients gain access to that collective knowledge without losing the local relationship they already have with us.

Better Tools Behind the Scenes

Not every benefit of this partnership will be immediately visible to a client, and that's okay. Some of the most important improvements happen behind the scenes. SVN provides its Advisors with commercial real estate technology, marketing resources, training, transaction tools, and systems designed to connect information and opportunities across the organization.

Those resources help us improve how we market properties, communicate opportunities, manage information, and connect with other commercial real estate professionals. The Sky West name has always been built around service and relationships. Better tools allow our team to spend more time strengthening both.

What Isn't Changing

We're still here.

We're still local.

We're still picking up the phone.

We're still driving properties, walking sites, talking through possibilities, negotiating deals, and helping clients figure out what actually makes sense for their business or investment.

Our relationship with Biltmore Construction also continues to give clients an additional perspective when a real estate decision becomes a construction or development conversation. Whether we're evaluating an existing building, a tenant improvement, raw land, or a build-to-suit opportunity, we can look beyond the transaction itself and consider what it will take to make the property work.

The partnership with SVN doesn't replace that hands-on approach. It gives us more resources to support it.

The Same Hometown Service, With a Much Bigger Reach

We at Sky West believe that growth only matters if it creates something better for the people you serve.

For us, joining SVN means we can offer broader property exposure, expanded relationships, additional market intelligence, national connections, specialized expertise, and stronger commercial real estate resources while maintaining the local knowledge and personal service Sky West clients already know.

That's the part of this partnership we're most excited about.

Local roots. Broader reach. More opportunities for our clients.
